For about $20 more you can get the ATI 9800 Pro that will play Doom without breaking a sweat! Well worth the extra money I say since the reviews I've read say the graphics are outrageous but the game is only good. Yes the CPU upgrade is a must! I think the ID recommendation is 2 GHz.
