Here's want you do to keep it on the road. With the money the insurance company gives you. Buy back the car. Now that the insurance company has totaled the car, it has a Slavage Title. (So getting insurance is not going to insure jack for it)
Fix it up and get all the body done, have it apprased and then show it to the insurande company and insure it for that amount. It works.
