For those who also belong to OT, there is a thread there about the '05 GTO. I don't feel like copying everything over from there, I don't have time. http://forums.offtopic.com/showthread.php?t=1164393Cliffnotes: with optional sport appearance package without The 2005 GTO's advertised acceleration 0 to 60MPH automatic - 4.6 seconds 0 to 60MPH six-speed - 4.8 seconds 1/4 mile - 12.9 seconds

hmmm that sports package looks kinda like a waste to me. You get an uglier bumper, same style rims only flatter (I'd rather have the ones in the 2nd pic) side skirts that aren't overly impressive, - the trans am style hood and a wing. Not sure what the difference is between the interiors and I didn't read the article yet but I think I'd rather have the non sport package myself.

So the auto is faster than the manual?

My best friend works at a Pontiac dealership, tears ass in them all the time. They're not too impressive to me...nice, but not my style. I like the one with the scoops in the hood though, and throw the sport package on. Still WAY out of my price range. What's funny is that I haven't seen ONE on the streets.

And they are holding their value like rocks falling off bridges.
I saw a dealer ad asking $23,800 for one with very low miles and I snooped and saw it was in great shape.

I've been partial to 4drs since I have my daughter to tote around but I know my next car will be a 2+2. The value keeps dropping and I will have a blue/blue with a custom powered sunroof in another 2yrs.
Even the last 2-3yrs of the F-bodys are holding there value better than the GTO, whats not appealing about this car?
