Looks good especially with the black. What make you want to change it to the pre 98 style?

My first tour was a 95. Plus I hate the rear reflector on a post 98. I tried a modified mystique reflector that looked really good, but it had leaks every time it rained.

Ok understandable...I also like the earlier style too either way it looks like the new lid and all worked out awesome...enjoy it!
