It happened again yesterday: some idiot at a lube shop overfilled my engine
. This was the
third time. Each time it was a different idiot at a different lube shop doing the overfilling. I'd change my oil myself but I don't have a place to do it
. I was always told that too much oil was very bad for the engine. I've heard that too much oil in the engine will work itself into a lather and not lubricate properly......My engine does not burn or leak any oil so the level after the oil change is where it stays until the next one.
Am I wrong in thinking this in harmful? Do those lube shop people know something I don't know? (Unlikely....but I want to be sure). Any thoughts would be appreciated.
