I did a search and unless I searched for the wrong keywords (Oil Pressure), I didnt find anything that I was looking for.
All I really need to know, is what is our oil pressure supposed to read? Not necessarily WOT, but If I can get the stages ie... idle, normal driving and WOT that would be great..Thanks in advance for your help.

haynes says oil pressure at 1500 rpm(hot) should be between 20-45 psi

Well it also depends where you take the messurements.
25 psi is adverage in the heads i have come to find out...but for a more accurate readings you want it in the block i believe its behind the bracket for the ac compressor or the alternator...from what i understand from there psi is between 40 and 45.
weight of oil your using is also a factor a higher weight will raser oil pressure.
the numbers i have given you are with 5w 30 weight.

so your saying by the egr area should be 25psi then correct?

Yes, i taped my Oil pressure sensor in the rear head, under the EGR. im reading 25 PSI when warmed up at idle.
Mobil 1 5w 30 is what i use.

EDIT:::: Mind you, this is not the most acurate place to get a reading, as oil starvation issues happen in the pan...best place to put it is int he block itself...you get the most accurate and fastest readings.

ok, so 25psi idle..hmmm, i have never since day one had anything greater than 12psi on idle...im confused now...well what is your psi driving and at wot.

WOT honestly im not sure...never really paid attention to it at WOT..more worried about cars in front of me....i will double check the 25 psi at idle....but im pretty sure thats it.

ok, even w/ my 160tstat and the car fully warmed up i only get 12 like i said but that has been since day one.

Ok I checked...mine kinda very's between 22 and 25...not a big diffrence....at WOT i hit 35-40 psi....hope this info helps!
