Noone is gonna know what is better, actually you probably wouldn't notice a difference between any of them. Just contact a chip programmer such as KKM and ask if they can program a chip to KPL0 and if not, ask if they can do one for one of those other codes.

Don't bother with a chip until you're finished doing mods. Then have it programmed for your car. You're not going to notice the difference between stock ECU and an off the shelf program chip.
Unless you have an ATX and just want it to firm up the shifts.

I've been pondering this issue as well. With a cold-air intake, resonator removed, hi-flow catalytic converter, and performance muffler, and recently having the engine decarbonized, how would I go about recording specs to tell a chip programmer so I could have the chip programmed to take full advantage of these mods..?
Do I need special equipment? What am I looking for? Where can I go?

You go to a dyno and get a/f readings while on the dyno.

What he said....I am spending way too much money on different chips!

Yeah, you don't want to have to do another chip so you should just give me the S/C.

dynometer - it measures horsepower mainly. I have no clue how much they costs, but i can tell you that if u are considering purchasing a dyno for your contour, use the money to buy a Csvt or a mustang lol. You would most likely search online for a race track (?-?-?) or some other kind of auto place that lets you run on their dyno. I dont think anyone has their own. Well there are some small scale dynos that aren't as accurate i believe. Try searching the web.
