OK, I posted this information over on the NECO (New Cougar) and the Mondeo message boards and have gotten great responses. Here it is for the Contique crowd: I need a show of hands of people that are seriously interested in a turbocharger kit for their Contour or Mystique. I am in contact with a manufacturing company who is interested in making a kit. The first vehicle will be my Contour. What I am requiring is an e-mail sent to me with the following information: Type of car: (1999 Contour SVT) Engine: (V6) Transmission: (ATX/MTX) <---Very important! How much of a deposit you are willing to put down: ($$$) This turbocharger kit, will consist of several stages. For example: Stage 1: Turbo, oil lines, all necessary exhaust, intake pipes, air filter Stage 2: Stage 1 plus-Blowoff valve, fuel management Stage 3: Stage 2 plus-battery relocation kit, water/air intercooler(with water pump et al) Stage 4: Stage 3 plus-cat back, high-flow exhaust Stage 5: Stage 4 plus headers Pricing is not available yet until the interest is established. The pricing should be equivalent to similar systems. The only difference is, this one will work for your car! E-mail to Chris@spazmail.com Thanks! Check out the questions I have answered at NECO and FordMondeo.org: http://www.fastcougar.com/forums/messageview.cfm?catid=10&threadid=16009 http://www.fordmondeo.org/cgi-bin/ubb6/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=18&t=000001

I read that you hope production could begin by Feb '01. If so, that'll give me something to look forward to all winter long. Get one of these installed for spring time in Michigan . Oh yeah, I posted a link to this thread over at SVTOA.com in the Contour section. But I think everyone who reads that section probably reads this board as well.

chris: i'd be interested, but not for a little while. i just bought bassani, y-pipe, sway bar and stb so my checking account is pretty dry.
what kind of prices (ranges) would we be looking at for each stage?
also how much would each stage approximately cost to have installed?
thanks, pete

I have been looking into a custom turbo and the cost was up around how much a supercharger would cost. I figure that either a 10 or 20% of cost down payment would be suffice depending on overall cost. I have wanted a turbo charger bad considering all my friends have stock cars slower than mine and just strap on like a stage 4 turbocharger with an intercooler and now blow me out of the water. i am very interested.
2000 Svt kkm intake w/heat shield, custom MAF,under-drive pulleys,braided brake hoses,carbon fiber brake pads,painted calibers,17x7 borbet t's with g-force tires,bat euro struts,eibach pro-kit,custom burned superchip,sho offroad y-pipe, bassani exhaust with high flow cat,formula one tint,kenwood excelon cd/mp3,mb quart compents w/mtx amp,b & m short shifter, carbon fiber pedals,hyper-bright bulbs,painted oval ring and many mods to come.

Chris, Will it work on the 3.0? I doubt it. But if it did I would be interested. Secondly, how much blow are we talking about, I might scrap the 3.0 project and just drop an SVT engine in and turbo it...
