have checked that numerous times... we are removing the solder from the contacts... my friend thinks his soldering iron may have been too hot, which burned off the 'green' surface of the pcb, exposing some metal below it, which may have cross connected the contacts.. so we're seeing if the car will run without any solder on the contacts..
if it does start and run, he'll just have to be more careful when he solders them back again.
