I've has so many problems with my fuel system its not even funny anymore. So this past weekend i figured I'd fix it once and for all. In the past I have ...

- Replaced the fuel filter didn't seem to help.

- Cleaned out my UIM by spraying the arosol can of berrymans b-12, helped for a little while and problems returned.

- Then used two cans for berrymans b-12 cleaner the liquid form in the two vacuum ports above the throttle body one can for each port help a little and problem returned.

- Lubbed up the gears in my IMRC box helped a little and problems returned.

- Took apart my fuel pump and basket and cleaned it out
cleaned the sock filter with throttle body cleaner and tossed the flat screen filter in the trash. this helped for about 7 hours and the problems returned.

So this weekend I when to the dealer and bought a brand spanking new focus svt smart pump #354Z-9H307-BC and a new IMRC box with cable. - THANKS DEMONSVT -

The fsvt pump comes with a unusable basket and an unusable green gasket. you must take apart the fsvt basket and rubber fittings and shave the fuel pump connector down a little bit because the fitting its a little different . its backwards .I had to buy a green f/p gasket for a contour.

Tossed the nasty fuel pump sock filter off my stock pump because it was extra grimmy.and used the new fsvt sock filter it doesn't look like it will work but I gave it a shoot and it works great.

I also replaced my IMRC box and it works great again. secondaries open up no problem but do clean out you UIM before you replace the IMRC box because you risk the secondaries sticking closed and breaking the cable.


With the new fsvt fuel pump, cleaning out the UIM and a new IMRC box my car runs better than ever !!!! its 1,000 better!!!

While working on my car this weekend i also talked my buddy into helping my optimize my stock y-pipe and man what a difference that makes. it pulls like a bat out of hell all the way to redline which comes up a whole hell of a lot faster now and i find my self hitting the revlimiter all the time this car really does fly now.
