i just like the look of the injen one that speed demos hasit just a personal preferance, like i said if push comes to shove then ill try and get the GMK one and if no that then ill get the custom cougar one but i will not get a short ram intake, cuz these other CIA's are better, performance wise.

I've got $20 saying the K&N w/ a heatshield will outperform the HAI from Injen....and cost considerably less at the same time. I would go with the fenderwell placement like the GMK or the aformentioned and proven setup. I've got an idea, let's pull hot air off of the MTX and cooling fans....

with the hood open I assume.... Can I see the back to back dyno for that? It sounds unbelieveable even with the hood open....where in the powerband was it gained? What was it compared against? Air likes straight paths better than sharp turns...I fail to see how, even with the hood open, a nearly 90 degree bend outperformed a straight path with an adequate filter.

I ahve some very good news...GMK has contacted me....here is the pm he sent me Quote:
I am glad to hear good things are being said about me! Sweet!
Yes, LostRacer, PuckPuck and Myself installed LostRacer's intake at Fest, Which I am sure you are fully aware. He had to use a 3.5'x3" silcone reducer which was obtained from WeaponR.
Anyone who is using the Mirko or similar 3.5" MAF adaptor will need to have one of these reducers. I recommend you contact WeaponR. If NorCal can get these (or similar) please let me know. Because I cannot.
I have the SVT throttle body on my Cougar. The GMK CAI is 3" which is still larger than the SVT TB. The GMK CAI has proven to make AWESOME gains on 3.0 and 3.0 Hybrid Duratecs. I cannot express to you how much the 3.0 Hybrids love the cold air the GMK CAI can provide. In fact please read this review by BlackCoog. He has a 3.0 Hybrid in his cougar.
When you do purchase your GMK CAI please PM me first or contact me on AOL IM > GrandMasterKhan. Its important you know that all GMK CAI extensions are made special order and cant take 3 weeks to produce. I will need special measurements from your current shortram intake system also in order to properly make you GMK CAI.

So if you guys are intrested, i will find out form him waht messurments we need to take in order to get the CAI for everyone....just let me know!

Ok so I do have a print out of that. Ill post in a day or so. Also it was a comparison between the stock SVT filter system and my ceramic coated Injen CAI. Ill get better details to you soon though.
