These books got old even before he was elected President.

And for him to keep bringing up his Vietnam experience, he has every right to do so. He actually went over to Vietnam and fought in the damn war! I think it is VERY relavent to being Commander In Chief to know what the grunts have to deal with, especially in a time of war. Somehow, I don't think Dubya would ever understand it. That's why he sucks at being CiC.

Somehow I don't think Kerry was the average soldier. I don't think the average Navy man dressed up in infantry gear to re-enact battle scenes with a camcorder, distorting the real events by acting as the hero when something completely different happened.

Kerry answers every policy question he's asked by first saying "When I was in Vietnam...". He sure is welcome to do that, but he's not trying out for commission. He's running for President. His service in Vietnam certainly doesn't enhance his ability to be President. His voting record shows us who he really is, and that he's unfit to run this country at any time, especially a time of war.

I have as much to say about why his service is irrelevant as you have to say why it is relevant. It's an issue that has gotten him nowhere.
