While I was having my 3L built, I had my mechanic check into O2 simulators to see what prices he could get. He told me that he spoke with a vendor who has dealt with different brand O2 simulators, and passed on some valuable information. This vendor stated that all of the O2 simulators he has sold have a tendency to go out between 3-5 months of use. My guess is this is why Mark has had a Contour Enthusiast Light off and on since he got his 3L back. I ended up using the PC board and resistors listed in the how-to for gutting the precats, and haven't had any problems yet. Of course I have only been driving on this 3L for a week, so time will tell. Just my $.02.

Maybe he sells crap or wants another sale???
The ones I got with the MSDS headers still work fine after 3 years of use. (~3.5 years old) They've been on and off several times as well. Now off of course.
Even with that said why not just build your own set for a couple bucks. It's a very simple circuit and there is even a great how-to on it.

I saw somebody (not a newbie either) post a while back that you can just weld the o2 sensor hole up, and zip tie the sensor to part of the car and you won't get a CEL.

I have the MIL's that MSDS sells. He actually gets them from Dallas Mustang or Texas Mustang, one of the two.. Im almost thinking my wiring is bad because I put a new MIL in, switched them around and still come back with the same codes.. Depending on if I stick with this motor, I may look into an alternative to MIL's..
