driving through Vermont in a little caravan that i was leading, we came up on some traffic in the right lane. it was raining, and i couldn't see well so i slowed down a bit and got in the left. i must have switched lanes just in time because my friend in the car behind me JUMPED, yes, JUMPED a dead moose lying in the road. it was so nasty. hair and intestines all underneath his car. that coupled with the rain and the heat of the engine made for the foulest stench i have ever witnessed.
i'll never forget that sight.
