Depending on what day I drive up there, my first drive on it may be at night.

Though I'm used to driving unfamiliar roads (including the few moderately twisty ones I can find around here) at night. I don't drive them quite as hard during the day, I've learned the hard way it's harder to discern speed, etc. at night. My car is fairly easy to get back under control when I do lose control (let's hope that doesn't happen at totd) so I'll be OK. I've lost traction at 70mph and managed to keep it on the two lane road, a little scary having to counter a slide, brake, counter, brake, counter ... but a good lesson learned.
