dude take it easy, they arent laughing at you. for the prices used 'contiques are going for, it is indeed easier and most likely much more cost efficient to just buy a new one. they just thought it was funny to answer the question quickly and bluntly instead of the long drawn out answer like this one. cant say i blame them, cause this question is asked every other day and they are the ones who always answer it.
