The Fuel efficent Honduh is only good for that fact. I Just tired of the fact that people take the fuel efficent Honda Civic, and make it look like something it is not. I get tired of "Oh my honda can smoke a stock mustang" It can, because you spent so much money into that POS, when if you put that same money into the Mustang, itd smoke the modified honda. If I really wanted to make a fast car, I'd take a V8 Ford Thunderbird, or V8 Mustang, id put my money into that.

But that I4 Honda Civic...

Edit: Also i remember driving my uncle's Honda Accord, that thing sucked royal balls... The seat felt like hard cactus, unlike my Contour seat that fits my groove. the ugly H in the steering wheel... the LCD Odometer/stereo/clock display units, the engine light... He then got an Acura 3.2TL type S, that thing just has the most unconfortable feel when I sit in the driver seat (Considering the Honda logo is all over that crapura...) and it didnt feel as sporty as i thought it would be....

hmmm... I love my Honda. Lots of torque/horsepower, and yes, it will very easily smoke a stock Mustang, Cobra, and even modified versions of those, right off the showroom floor (runs 11's).

My RSX is a pretty decent car. It handles nicely, has okay power and has been trouble free and gets good gas mileage. I will probably hold onto it for a long time because I know it will last + the dealer is awesome. Stock for stock it will keep up with an SVT on a backroad which keeps it fun.

The funny thing is how people view it. First I get a lot of compliments. A lot of girls think it is a really hot car. Older people think it is expensive because it is an Acura and young people think it is really fast.

this comment isnt much about hondas but just about the performance part stores that milk the owners. i do have friends with hondas and they go to those performance shops and the shop owners will try to sell them tons of stuff and they usualy will go for it. a lot of honda owners thta i know seem to bust a nut when they hear that a they are getting anything thats "jdm".

Maybe not any car. A base Lotus Elise is out the door at under $41,000. It will outrun the S2000 straightline and in the corners. Adding the $2400 Sport Pack will widen the gap. The S2000 is a great car though.

Overall I'm indifferent to Hondas. They're solid cars, but they just do nothing for me. The S2000 is the only one I'd consider, but it's interior is uncomfortably tight for me.

Umm, what have you been smoking? Get a $20k srt4 and be faster than a s2k and handle almost as good. Spend about $5k on the engine and suspension and be A LOT faster and handle better than a s2k and have money left over. An 03 cobra is also a very good deal as well. The s2000 is a good car just needs more engine, a 2L (now 2.2L) just isn't enough.

Your not getting it! The car is insanely balanced. Weight distribution is perfect. A 2-seater roadster with luxo interior is not in the same class as a I4 FI FWD 4-dr econo-box with no power windows and a shopping cart spoiler. Its still a Neon! HI A fast little bugger but still a Neon.

Cobra is no competiton either, were talking about apples and oranges here. Cobra is a V8 FI monster that has a horrible interior and handles like a pig. The GTO bested the Cobra in the latest test because FIT & FINISH is really importnat to 99.5% of all consumers.

Well were talking $10K price premium.

S2000 = 0-60 5.5seconds 1/4mile = 14.0

Elise = 0-60 4.4 seconds 1/4mile = 13.2 @ 104

Aside from it handling better & being faster, the Elise is not a real car. It has no roof, no sound insulation. They keep the weight under 2000lbs by giving you no comforts. Spending $43K on a car you cant drive in the rain and punishes your ears & back ever time you go over uneven pavement is a bit too much for me to live-with. For $20K I can see it, but essentially you get an Aluminum tub, a Celica GTS engine great suspension and brakes for $43K. Dats a lot of cash!

Here is the head to head review of the Elise & S2000
