I loved my CRX Si, and at the time I thought: "Gee, I wish Honda would put their accord engine in here..." And look. Now kids are doing that and more.
I have a Windstar. Wish to hell I'd waited for the Odyssey.
Loved our 91 Civic LX. Sold it to my brother in law when we moved up to the minivan. Still running strong.
I love the S2000. The current RSX is OK, but...
Honda makes some really good cars, and a few greats. I don't like the new Civics at all (too heavy). I hated to see the CRX line die.
Other than that, the only thing I don't like about them is that it seems like every kid has one. And I do like to be different.
Function before fashion.

I love my Honda. It has 180K on it and still going strong. It's never done me wrong..unlike my tour I don't like ricers one bit but they are every where in all different makes of cars. You can't beat the reliabiltiy of a Honda. Great little cars that are fun to drive.

I had a civic EX for about two years and some things i loved about it and some things i hated, but i think that comes with any car you have. For some odd reason i thought that car was fast...seriously! I took it to the track and everything. Now that i look back on it i realize that 10.7 in the eigth isn't NEAR fast. I think it's a Honda thing. Of course everyone thinks that their own car is the baddest thing in the world. i had a body kit, 17's, 10 switch air ride, two screens and a killer system in it. I don't think that all Honda's sound like weed eaters on crack, you just have to do the exhaust right. I had a header and a full Greddy exhaust on mine and it sounded awesome. Unfortunately when i got beat i would try to use the air ride and weight of my mods as an excuse. oh well, i think it's funny now! Their problem is that people buy the cars and weld a muffler on that they bought at auto zone and expect that to instantly make it ready for NOPI Tunervision . I liked it for it's looks, but i love my car a heck of a lot better. Before i bought my car i was choosing between a Civic SI or GSX Eclipse. Needless to say, mine won out. Civic's are good little cars to get from point A to B, but they are cheaply made and overpriced.

Economical, reliable "point A to point B" transportation that could definitely use some soul. Honda's have traditionally had the sex appeal of a hospital hallway, everything is so neat, clean, sterile and proper. Of course, I'm speaking of every commercial Honda I can think of aside from the S2000. That's one Honda I could see myself in, despite it's narrow-ass powerband. 7.5K before the serious fun starts is hard to justify to me, but it certainly floats some people's boats. I like low-end torque and tire-shredding power early in the band on my sports cars... This coming from a previous '91 SE-i Accord owner (100K+ and little more than plugs and oil changed in it). If I was smart, I would have stayed away from the '93 SHO that I traded it in on...

My Accord has 284,000 miles on the factory original clutch. But Honda sucks.

Umm, what have you been smoking? Get a $20k srt4 and be faster than a s2k and handle almost as good. Spend about $5k on the engine and suspension and be A LOT faster and handle better than a s2k and have money left over. An 03 cobra is also a very good deal as well. The s2000 is a good car just needs more engine, a 2L (now 2.2L) just isn't enough.

Good Lord ....
Honda make great cars; from A to B commuters to great drivers cars like the ITR to supercars like the NSX. They have a long and distinguished racing history (F1 especially). Personally, the Vtec style engines (and many mfg'ers have some type of Vtec style engine management now) are not my cup of tea but thats personal preference.
Honda make great cars. To hate on them is churlish at best, downright ignorant at worst.

i think the whole reason for the honda craze is just that there are tons of aftermarket support for cars such as the civic . i know if i were to have a civic i would save tons of money on insurance and have a lot of cash for plenty of mods. not to mention the low cost of parts for it. when it comes down to it most honda drivers and ricers are pretty impressed with my 5 speed se. i let my friend with a 99 si drive my car and after feeling some real torque he was amazed. i dont think i could go to a 4 cylinder after having a v6.

I think Hondas are great for econmy purposes. Now if ur gonna be a queer and rice em up then u'v just gone too far. Its cool if someone wants to tune there suspension, engine, handling....for road racing (on a closed course.) But if ur gonna go out and put on the fart-can exhaust, park-bench spoiler, non-funcsional hood scoop, Silvia head lights on ur little 1.6L Honduh Civic...u should die.
