They are very reliable other than their distributors, nasty little boogers. Good thing all their cars when to DIS.

Not my style, personally. Not big enough for me (I like to have a lot of space in my car), and not quite powerful enough stock. The Contour is as small as I'd prefer to drive.
I have opinions against the honda "ricer" mentality of adding useless crap onto a car. Hell, I posted a great rant from craigslist not that long ago.

I hate what people do to some of them....like the 2 foot wing that servers no real pourpos on a front wheel drive car...also the fact that wings ar not funtional till about 70+ MPH......Some of the tastless (IMO) body kits like the EVO kits (huge round fog lights), if you also notice, some of the kits do not flow with the lins of the car...EX: where the body line curves, the kit will stright edge, or the kit will look boxy and not match the car. I also hate bumble bee exahust..the really high pitch ones...i ahve heard some great exahusts, but most sound really bad. and i hate some of the people who drive them...you will be crusing at 75mph, and a honda will fly-by and then flash his hazards at you acting like you were racin but your not...most people (with a except few) that i ahve meet have been cocky ass holes who say they can beat anything...so i ahve to put them in there place at the track with mine for my friends cars. Other things that bug me are excessive underglo kits...(more than 4 lights, one for each side of the car) putting Chrome rim's and calling them "racing rims"...when there no where near AS light....putting stickers on your car when ypou are not sponsored by any of the companies....air bags on a honda.... ......theres other things i cannot remember.... Mostly i do not like the whole sceen because of the bad experience with most of the people and the tastlessness most have.... But i will say this i have met a few very nice people with great looking cars that im glad to consider my friends..Its jsut the majority i encounter are pricks with IMO have crappy looking cars. But im also a firm believer of, to each his own....if he liks it thats fine....but not my cup-o-tea. Lupe
3.0 SVT hybrid...all the fixens...Track/Race ready very soon!!!!!! 20,000 + miles

I like the reliability and decent looks of factory Hondas. It's just kind of a pain to drive one anymore because everyone thinks you want to race every chance you get. A buddy of mine, who is 30 or so and had no interest in cars/racing/etc., had a 91 Civic hatchback. The thing had a hole in the muffler, which made it pretty loud. He said he almost went insane because of all the douche bags revving at him almost constantly.
So if I just wanted a car that would start every morning for thousands of mornings, then I'd get a Honda. And some people want just that, which is a good reason why they're so popular (not meaning the racing crowd).

I don't have much of an opinion of them. I hate all the dork ass teens in my city that own them. I've never driven a Honda made car. I was a passenger in a couple of my friend's Civics in the late 90's, and I hated how they drove manual at that time (driver sucked at manual) and the styling seemed really plain-ass, but that's only because their father bought the base model to save money. The only Honda I've ever ridden as the "driver" is my husband's motorcycle - Shadow Spirit 750. Impression:

It all depends on the honda. I've ridden in a fast civic and it doesn't take much money to make them fast. They handle like crap though (civics, etc. not s2k). The s2k needs a bigger engine and it would be worth the money. Stock civics are plain, small, slow, and don't handle good. Modded civics are played out, usually still slow, and usually still don't handle good. To sum it up, hondas can be OK but most aren't.

The only two Hondas I like are the NSX and the S2000. I like the NSX for obvious reasons, and I think that the S2000 is one of the sexiest compact 2 door sports cars on the market today . The only thing the S2000 is lacing is a decent motor. You have to damn near redline the fu**er to 9000rpm to get any power out of it. Speaking of, just last friday some idiot in an S2000 with a fart cannon pulled up next to me in my SVT Contour and wanted to race. I looked at him and laughed, then proceded to say "I know sonething you dont know" . Then the light turned. I shall say no more. Wow that was seriousy off topic. But yeah... Hondas are great little cars. I have a 94 Honda Civic. It had 56,000 miles on it when I bought it and I put 30,000 miles on it in one year. It still runs like a champ and now I'm tryin to sell it cause I bought a Contour a few months ago. Anyone want a Civic? Seriously.
98 Contour SVT (soon to be reborn)
2000 GMC Envoy... Screw you guys, I like it.

yeah. i would include those 2 cars in my summation as well. i didn't know this was just a discussion about civics.
and to add another dimension, i think the Honda CRV is incredibly unsafe to drive.
