I have a 1998 Zetec VCT engine. I have the Haynes Ford contour 95-00 manual which covers egr engines only. Neither Haynes nor the Chiltons manual cover the VCT engine. Can Someone tell me were to find one. Your input is appreciated

CMP cam position sensor or CKP crankshaft postion sensor? I have 98 CD manual. Howver I'm a Duratec owner.

1. Remove the air conditioning hose retaining nut.

2. Remove the power assisted steering hose retaining nut.

3. Remove the coolant hose retaining studs.

4. Remove the dipstick tube and lifting eye retaining bolts.

5. Remove the dipstick.

6. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield.

7. Disconnect the camshaft position sensor electrical connector.

8. Remove the camshaft position sensor.


Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

My 98 maunal does show the VCT my appologies! Yes I see you've found the info on the Ztec post! It talks about the variable cam timing tha not having the EGR, must need the 99 manual.
