I think I would like to keep the waranty for now so, the 3.0 will have to wait.
Do the headers really make that big of a differance? I really want to improve the power output but, I want to use parts that make a big differance.
I guess that means throwing out the waranty huh.
How about a 3.0 yamaha swap??? Very very strong bottom end, responds well to mods, burns up tires in a hurry, tickets.... laugh

00svt is right. 3.0 short block comes with NO accessories. Just block, crank, rods, pistons, etc. You even have to reuse you 2.5L oil pan (the 3.0 has clearance issues).

FWIW, the block shipped 10 business days after I placed my order.

SHO Shop charges $1499 for the block and they will install for $1750.

I've already sent a new lower and upper to get done. They all should be here in a couple of weeks. I'll let everyone know when I get them installed.

Don't know if this will show up right or not, but this is an older SHO Shop price list. I think I still have that MM&FF article, so if I do I'll work on getting it scanned and put on on my photo site:

EDIT

Darn, can't get the stupid Yahoo photos link to work, just head to http://photos.yahoo.com/cjbaldw and choose the Car Stuff folder, it's in there...

Later...
