I was accelerating from a signal light, got through 3rd, then boom, nothing, NO gears!!! Pushed the car into a parking lot, checked all cables, found nothing. The shifter feels loose, and will not engage any gear. What is going on here??? Gear selector shot??? I am very ticked off about this. This car has only 17K miles on it... Whats weird is that both cables appear to move as they should from the shifter down to the tranny, just nothing is catching... Greg Exactly like mine - im telling you - have them check the cables - luckily mine was stuck in 2nd - so I hobbled it home. the stick felt like a spatula in a tub of whipped cream - but the cables moved on the tranny side still - but they replaced one of the cables and it was fixed.
