The metal of the wheel weighs more than the rubber of the tire, correct? There will be an extra 3" diameter of metal that wasn't there before...hence more mass away from the center of the hub. It's no biggie, I'm just curious to prove it on a dyno since it has been bugging me forever. In your case, the 6lb drop might compensate for the added diameter of the wheel, but I'm just speaking out of my experience so far. My wheels are 3 lbs lighter each, only 1" larger than stock, and I lost 1 mph on the traps in what I thought were better weather conditions. Just keep your mind open, because I had mine closed also and now I'm wondering. That's all I'm sayin.

i wouldnt go that far. my tires are 50max and i have them at 40. i'd add more if i took it to a track but for street use i need some cushioning. i'd be worried about hitting a pot hole and blowing the tire at max psi.
