The main reason is that traction even with drag radials is limited and not near enough to twist an axle. Now a turbo'd car with drag slicks could do it if anyone could. I really don't see anything else making the torque required to do it. Well maybe a high rpm launch with a 3L, upgraded clutch & PP, and drag slicks??? Maybe... The other bonus to the DSS Stage 1, Stage 2 or GCK HD axle is a heavy duty CV joint. 2000 SVT #674 13.47 @ 102 - All Motor! It was not broke; Yet I fixed it anyway.
