Dont need to pull heads but I prefer to do a cam change as part of a top end/head job.With cams that have higher lift/extended duration always need to check the valve to piston clearence with lead or dental wax.A touch condition at high revs is death to the motor.If we have the 'new' numbers for lift/duration/overlap etc it will help.Have to say that the only 'upgrade ' to reprofiling the stoc cams could be increased lift by grinding the base circle of the cams,timing would stay the same,to be able to 'juggle' the events need a vernier gear to replace the stoc gear whick is a part of the cam.Schrick were doing some work on this but it seems to have died off.
