what kind of gains could we expect from new cams? Also are there any down sides, are we trading low end power for more up top, and will this effect the drivability of the car (rough idle etc).

I would be interested in cams as well... You my as well make a post about it over at the New Edge Cougar Forums as well... you will sell a decent amount to us Cougar owners as well... Thats if the price is right for the gains we are to get from doing this...

Not to mention, it would get more people to do the 3.0 swap without having to worry about the power drop without getting the SVT heads. If SVO (FordRacing?) where smart, they would offer a 3.0L Longblock with 2.5L heads.

I'm still interested, fastsho could you e-mail the price that you charged the customer for the cams.

Remember that the cams also add a baddass aggresive sound to the engine. That's why David Z's car sounds so badass from the inside (In person).

Now wait a minute. This is a DOHC engine, so why would you need 4 cams? (Newb, sorry!). Is it 2 cams on the left side of the V, and 2 cams on the right side of the V?

You need 4 cams BTW. 2 per bank of cylinders. For those of us with the standard Duratec, you can slap the SVT ones in there for more torque (FWIW).
