OKay let's do a fairly equal comparison.
200HP SVT (00) vs 231HP Jag
10.25CR vs 10.3CR
Both tuned for premium fuel
80hp/l vs 77hp/l
JAG has all the extra "goodies" as stated in my previous post while the SVT does not.
So a basic Taurus 3L engine at 80hp/l is 240HP.
As an example - We've seen basic build full 3L engines with just SVT cams and stock everything else put down 195-200 wheels. That's 240+ at the crank.
That's my entire point.
So 231HP from the 3L engine with all those improved parts and better technology is Pathetic. Plus it's in a "company flagship style" Jag to boot.
Some engine examples from the competition...
The VQ 3.5 makes 74-77hp/l in the detuned form used in the Altima and Maxima.
In the performance Altima, Maxima, G35, 350Z it makes 80-84hp/l
The Jag is just LAME!!! It's output barely rates equal to the hp/l output on Nissan's 2nd level family car. (If you consider the Sentra a base level family car otherwise the Altima is the base!)
2000 SVT #674
13.47 @ 102 - All Motor!
It was not broke; Yet I fixed it anyway.
