Was driving looking at houses and spotted an SVT for sale. Its at the Chrysler dealership just north of I-894 on S. 27th St. I stopped to take a look at it and its an E0, 69K, black. I think its an early production run 'cuz it has the words "door lock" written in white on the p.l. surrounds, I believe that was done only on early 98's. Anyways engine was detailed nicely, exterior could use a little TLC, and interior looked good. The sales guy said it had just come in and needed to be inspected as it had no price on it yet. Just a little F.Y.I.!

Yeah, I can't remember the dealerships name. I think it used to be Arrow Hyundai/Olds, but its right across from the Chevy dealer near the toys r us and bowling alley. They had it in full whore, right in front parked sideways. I dont recall seeing a moonroof either... I wanna know what theyre asking for it

Nah, just a second. On a related note, if I am able to pick up another SVT there will be a Contour 'splode up party. Come, drink beer, and watch a '98 SE get 'sploded!

MUAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA i still think we should mount some remote cameras in it and jump it off the clidds on the lake front. That would be sweet or we could enter it into a demo derby and then jump it off a cliff
Dude just strip the car down to the shell part it out and cut it up into little pieces like I did to the other CSVT I had it's rather gratifying.
On a side note where the fark where you yesterday??????? Mikey was all sad that you didn't show...

Don't worry, I'll strip the car of all valuable parts before it gets 'sploded. Considering how its running that won't leave much.

I took the SVT for a test drive today. They want $9600 for a '98 E0 with 70k miles, which is obviously way out of line, and I told the salesman so. The clutch is making a very loud noise when it first engages. The engine is pretty strong, but probably just needs an Berryman's intake cleanup. The engine bay was sparking clean except for the coolant hoses. The exterior was not so good, but not bad for 70k miles. During the "haggling" phase I once again mentioned that they'd have to come down before I'd even be interested. He said he'd do a Blue Book, thinking that he'd prove the car was worth close to the asking price. He came back and sheepishly told me the BB was $8500. So, I'm thinking I'll get a carfax and the like and offer them $7000 or less. If I can fix up the Sport and sell it for a few grand I'll come out of it with a good beater car
