Sheesh, don't lie to the guy.
It wouldn't work anyways. I just spent the last 3 years in New Mexico, I think I've seen all there is to see. I can guarentee that Alamogordo is better than Clovis though.
Juarez is better than Clovis.

Clovis is basically a town full of retired farmers. I have a lot of relatives that live in Melrose, just outside of Clovis. They were doing cartwheels when Wal Mart moved in

Isn't Melrose just one big speedtrap?

Actually, no, AFAIK. I never see any law enforcement when I am there. Cops are really not needed when the town is so small you miss driving through it if you blink

That is no joke, I always forgot I had driven through Melrose. I'd ask my friends,"When are we going to get to Melrose?" but they'd answer say we'd just passed it 5 minutes ago.
Most of New Mexico is a very sad place. By the way. The highlight of my weekends was going to walmart at 3 in the morning because nothing else was open. I swear that's how I spent my spare time when I lived in Clovis.

My uncle said it was but that was over 10 years ago when he lived in Ft. Sumner. Maybe the cop quit, lol.

I lived there for 3 years and got only 1 ticket. I really deserved that one though. I also drove a bright red CRX so they are pretty fair. Or maybe I just drive like a Grandma.

Heh, bet that car stuck out among all the cowboy pickups
Only time I really had fun was a Saturday night cruising through town. I was really suprised, traffic was bumper to bumper, so many cool cars and trucks come out of the woodwork at night. Everything from sky-high lifted and slammed trucks to show quality muscle cars. I never expected that out of such a small town. I dont remember what street it was, but the street was all brick, no asphalt.

Do they still have those "Safe Corridor" sections of I-10 through there where you have to turn your headlights on and drive 10MPH slower? Or was that Texas... Hmm can't remember. I got a kick out of that. Southern NM doesn't seem like much to talk about, just a lot of empty space and tumbleweeds. The mountains along the eastern border were nice, however... Greg

Yes we still have those revenue generators. They're not really effective since people (myself included) do 80 mph throught there regardless. Nearly every fatal accident on 10 between here and El Paso has been due to DWI, something a "safety corridor" isn't going to be effective against. One of the saddest ones involved a US Marine who had just recently returned home from Iraq only to die at the hands of a drunk driver.
