Has anyone ever heard of putting our six cylinder in a focus, without rebuilding too much under the hood. Just curious thought it would be an interesting combination.

Any idea what kind of changes were made in the engine bay to accomodate the new engine?

No, I just remembered the pics were posted in Pics & Videos not too long ago. They were taken at Spring Zing, so maybe someone who attended will know and chime in.

That car was in the last Focus Fanatic Mag. I beleive they did some slight mods to the sides of the engine bay but can't remember how much.

Ford tried it as a concept from the SVT Labs (Dr. Bunsen Honeydew voice) "where the future is being made today." Apparently there was no way it would pass crash testing as the engine compartment was too tight.

Have you checked the NECO Forum? They'd probably have more info.

However even our archives are chalked full of good information if you take the time to search for it.

This has come up several times over the years as it is not a new endeavour.
