There are few reasons to not get powet TO the coil.
1) bad ground on interior fuse panel
2) bad ground on engine compartment fuse panel
3) short in the wire
4) blown 20amp fuse in engine compartment fuse panel. I forget which number it is, but it is labeled ignition DRL and i believe its the only 20amp in there.
5) bad ignition relay.
checks
1) interior lights? if yes, grounded
2) turning over? if yes, grounded
3) short in the wire... multimeter test from inline harness connector to power (purple/black) wire... (not likely unless you have a 95-97 with known to be bad harness
4) this is the most likely.. check this before ANYTHING
5) check power at the ignition relay in the interior fuse panel for power before and after with a multimeter.
