It's a first year car to the North American market . The Scion tC is nothing more than a rebadged Japanese-market Toyota Avenis, which is an extremely well established platform in Japan and Europe, so I highly doubt it will have very many recalls at all. Glad to see you know things.
For roughly $16,500 out the door, you get a full glass sunroof, a 5 speed manual, and many other goodies plus a full aftermarket dealer-installed catalog which includes a supercharger upgrade good for 43 more horses that retails for about $4000. A $20,500 car with 203 bhp and five speed sounds pretty good to me. Even without the supercharger, 160 bhp is good enough for mid 7s to 60 and that's pretty entertaining to start off with. But you can practically customise the car any way you like, and it's doubtful you'll come across another tC optioned just like yours, and that's what I like about them.
BTW, there is no 105 bhp tC. All tCs get the "big" motor.
