Same thoughts here Perry. Non disclosure of the benefits package says it all. However, it's a dog eat dog world. If you were to find yourself in the same predicament again, I'd accept. Then continue looking for something better. In addition to the income, it seems that it's easier to to find a job if you already have one. Just my experience and opinon. Good Luck!
