And to encourage new graduates, a friend of mine is graduating and has already landed a job. And he's going into accounting, and people always need accountants.

Accountants always land jobs early on. The accoutning firms scoop up all there people in the Oct-Dec. hiring blitz. And yes, Accountants are really needed right know as the Sarbanes-Oxley 404 attestation projects are being simultaneously conducted for every public company in the US with a market cap greater than 75-million. Next year its the small caps turn.

I majored in accounting and computer information systems. It is just as ugly as the IT sector when it comes to getting a job in accounting. No one wants fresh graduates just for the sake of job experience.

I make $30-$40 an hour coaching tennis but I do need a proper day job. My day job right now pays $6.70 an hour to be a webmaster and accountant. I am getting ripped off badly but I have to start somewhere to gain work experience.

ps. it's no fun working for them either as I hate babysitting these adults that whine and fuss because they do not know how to use the computer and surf porn at work.
