Well Danny Boy I said some of the oiling problem not all. There is no doubt that the KKM or any gauze filtration which uses oil will have an affect on the intake tract, so the + is that there is no additional oil flowing into the intact tract than is already needed.
HeatSoak! Well first this is not an open element like KKM, it's a carbon fiber unit with a patented filtration inside, that kind of looks like a minature jet engine, HONEST!!! In fact the theory behind the desingn of this intact came off of the aeronatics technology. Heat will not have nearly as much of an affect as KKM does. My car runs strong consistantly in hot weather with this Intake, and I live in Hawaii. So another plus no need for heatshield.
Power wise you're right dynoing the car is the only way to tell if it really is increasing the power beyond a KKM, in fact the Roar is almost 1 1/2 times the size of the KKM, so it's an extremely tight fit, and this unit will outflow the KKM by huge numbers. When I install a larger MAF and tweak the throttle bodie and install the headers than the increase flow will definately help out alot.
