Actually that prblem is caused primarily (probably entirely ) by the EGR.

Get it dynoed. We heard in a previous episode how the Monster flow was definately better, yet was inferior to KKM on the dyno. The KKM flows a hugh amount of air when analysed (see FAQ, intake comparison) about 40% that the stock SVT airbox (which is about 30% better than the SE airbox). Even if you get can more airflow, I think the KKM is able to provide all the air this car can use. I believe the key is to reduce the heat soak and air turbulence to the MAF (airbox with good cool air feed and MAF screen). I am currently evaluating just that (and 1 week preliminary opinon is very encouraging).
