I'd believe that, except IS 300s never came with a 6 speed.

Either the GS-T owner wasn't racing or the GS-T owner wasn't racing.
Any stock GS-T will beat the fastest year GS300 by a good second.
Where do you people consistently come up with this bullsh~t?
I know you know what you are talking about, but seriously, I've seen GS-T' get smoked many-a-time by cars not so much faster than ours. now then again, the way most people drive in my area, im guessing it might very well be they suck at driving.

hehehe, great comeback. I know you are but what am I?! Anyways, as per my suggestion about a GS-T in higher gear testing (at the track of course...), experience shows that the peepee turbo chokes and the SVT prevails. Just my experience though and no doubts, it was with a friend.

Maybe a T25... (The 14B will support over 300HP on the 2L)
However that still does not change the fact it makes 5-15 more HP and ~40 more TQ.
That means even if the weight is even (GS-T is slightly lighter too BTW) it still should pull on the top end. With the extra torque it pulls getting there too.
There is a reason a DSM is the best import bang for the buck.
That's not saying the SVT is a slouch either.
Remember you are comparing a normally aspirated 4-door family sedan to a lighter sport coupe with an intercooled turbo. Throw in some corners and the GS-T becomes a paperweight in comparison.
The SVT is a complete package in a 4-door wrapper. Very few can say that even today and when the SVT came out nothing could touch it unless you went twice it's price range. That's saying a lot!

It is a 99 GS-T Spyder(heavier of course), with a passenger (~100lbs). I was by myself, modded the way I am. The GS-T is also completely stock. I heard the spool ( ), so I decided to join the fun and I was pleased with the results. My only other experience with a GS-T, hard top, not sure what year but a 2g, was in 2nd ---> 3rd gear and there was only a very slight pull away. He had from what I could see/hear a BOV( I know doesn't affect performance but usually signifies modding) and an exhaust. I also had another 150lb person passenger. They allow passengers at the track, this was all at the track.
