Truthfully I'm not entirely sure, just from what I've read the pre 95's consistantly run mid to low 15's stock, with the 95's and later running low to high 14's stock. I'll try and find out if those numbers are consistant and why they are the way they are.

The 2G's are slower.
Plus they use a smaller turbo and run higher stock boost to begin with. (i.e. basically NO room to grow - a turbo upgrade is a MUST!)

The only thing a 2G has over a 1G is a better stock fuel system and maybe a better PCM.

Other then that nothing on a 2G is really "desirable" over a 1G.
Neither is desirable compared to the HUGE aftermarket offerings and their very affordable prices!

Thats what I'm saying...Sounds like you owned a couple in the past or are just extreamly knowledgable on eclipses...probably just cars in general.

Either the GS-T owner wasn't racing or the GS-T owner wasn't racing.

Any stock GS-T will beat the fastest year GS300 by a good second.

Where do you people consistently come up with this bullsh~t?

Hmm GS300 auto weights 3814 lbs. w/ 216hp (0-60 8.2 seconds) against a 5 speed GS-T that weights 2900 lbs and has 210hp (0-60 6.5 sec.(manual). That's a no brainer. Smoked? Anyway.
