Ok...
I have been working w/ Aussie SVT on this project for the past month or two. I was able to meet up with him this past friday and start the install process, all of the plumbing has been done and installed. All that is left is the wiring of the computer and harness.
The water injection system is more then just a pressurized water sprayer dumping water into your engine... the key word is "system." Every aspect of the system is computer controlled and fully adjustable. the computer senses ambient outside air temp & the temp of your superchargers (or turbo) discharge temp. so it knows when to turn itself on. it also senses your engines duty cycle and will come on under WOT.

As my fellow SC owners know, discharge temp can approach 200 degrees F. and as the temp gets hotter the power decreases considerably. The Water Injection works liek an intercooler... only with a little more punch.

Here are a few pictures:
my engine bay (Water Injection lines are yellow):

Here is a shot of the dual water pumps:

Here is the actual spray nossle:

Here are a couple shots of the TB with the injector fitting installed:

Here is the water tank (1 quart JAZ Jr. Dragster fuel cell until I can aquire a little more room):

Here is the air assist line to give the tank positive pressure:

and here is the computer:

please feel free to ask questions, I will do my best to answer them.

What he said, were does the water go once inside the motor, or are we talkin super fine mist. very interesting, I was looking for a way to get an intercooler in this puppy, was looking into hoodscope/intercooler unit. Let me know how this turns out, one day I may need it wink

yes a fine mist, aeration per say - water possesses a very high amount of latent heat, which makes it ideal for cooling the combustion process. Water will improve the knock resistance of an engine, while also cooling the intake (or exhaust in a turbo) gases, thus allowing higher boost pressures, while at the same time reducing thermal stress on the combustion process. Water will also help prevent the build up of carbon deposits, and can protect the valves and valve seats from getting burnt, pitted or distorted.

more data -

a high pressure jet of water (about 110 - 130 psi) into the intake manifold. As the latent heat of evaporation of water is 6.5 times that of fuel (2256 versus 350), as it vaporizes in the intake manifolds it absorbs heat, thus lowering the temperature of the air/fuel mixture, and significantly reducing the chances of detonation.

I'll bet Mark's 2ndaries are nice n shiny now smile

would this be of any benifit to someone not running with hair dryer? like oh say, higher compression?

well, the system is unfinished... note the picture of the computer in my hand and not in the car...
all that is left is the electrical portion of the system... then it is time for tuning.

no, you need the super heated discharge temps from forced induction for it to work properly.

Would ice water in the tank and the water lines heat insulated work better? One would think superchilled water would have an even greater heat quenching affect.
