would there be any advantage in changing the single part of the svt exhaust to 2.5"? two 2.25" pipes feeding into one 2.25", seems like opening up the single part would be better also I'm going to gut the precats and install an aftermarket y-pipe, hiflow cat and magnaflow resonator, DO I NEED TO DO ANYTHING TO THE 02 SENSORS?????

If you gut the pre cats I believe you will need a MIL Eliminators to get rid of the CEL.

http://search.ebay.com/MIL-ELIMINATORS_W0QQsosortpropertyZ1

OR Go to www.spmotorsports.com they have them about 60 bucks
They call them O2 Enhancers on the spmotorsports site.

I got gutted pre-cats and didn't use a MIL eliminator. I have no CEL.

Then again, my car is a freak of nature.

I believe all that does is run a diagnostic for emission related codes but I might be wrong anyone care to shed some light on this?

You will install MIL eliminators to: REMOVE... THE... CEL... (so that the CEL will report no problems)

and you wanna know if this scanner they hook to the OBD-II port will show anything different? Put it this way: if the scanner shows something wrong, the MILS don't work (but you'd know that cause you'd have a CEL lit) Afterall, that is the POINT of the mils.. to make the OBD-II valuse look normal to the ECU
