But I got the transmission fluid changed a week ago and it seems to be shifting a little better, but it is still a concern. I took it to an auto repair shop and the transmission specialist said that our transmissions usually go out about 75,000 to 80,000 miles. My is at 132,300 so it has lasted a long time. So we will see what happens. 1995 Duratec V6 Contour

It's been sitting for a while due to other issues, and I don't know if that had any effect on it. I currently has the Mobil 1 cocktail in it. I suspect the trans was abused in my absence, but I can't prove anything. '98 SVT Contour, in at least 639 pieces 4 Speed MTX...synchro and shift fork replacement in progress
