hondas are great, until you get some punk ass who thinks he can throw an intake and exhaust on and spank any car he lines up against. Most people do not really mod hondas...and out of the ones that do, the vast majority of those modders give the rest a bad name.

i peronally know of and have driven 3 civics that will kick a stock vette in the balls, maybe a cobra too.

the first belonging to a coworker. he hasnt done anything ricey beyond the fart cannon, but his exhaust is a real exhaust, from the turbo back, no resonators.

has a turbo, 100 shot of nitrous on an ITR block with all kinds of goodies inside. it is a 1994 Civic Si hatchback. not sure what kind of HP he is putting down, but he is running low 12's/high 11's...but he has also spent 10,000 dollars on his car.

but a civic hatchback is not a contour. a civic hatchback race prepped can proabably be brought down to 1300 lbs, maybe less, when body panels and glass are rmoved. this kid has spared no expense, CF hood with functional scoop and vents, and it comes off at the track. the hatch comes off, the glass is all LEXAN or some plexiglass stuff, its hella light. just look at this thing you can tell its not a street car. take a ride in it, and you will know it for sure, it sits on coilovers and rides like it has no shocks.

is this guy a rices? he doesnt have a single sticker for a part on his car...not even i can say that (k&N sticker under the 3rd brakelight). he doesnt have a wing, or a bodykit. his car is painted mineral grey, a ford color. but beyond that, he has no kind of ricey parts on his car. his tails arent clear, his seats are race seats, but only cause they are lighter. hes fenders are fully functional Z3 fenders. AFAICT this guy is the real deal. so STFU about ricers, its getting old. not everyone who mods a honda is a ricer, the 5% that are give the rest a bad name.
