a Couple Words of advice #1 Keep the door open or roll down the window. #2 Hit unlock it will disarm the car #3 YOu should be disconnecting the Negative battery post anyhow if your following a manual.
Its ok that you have a GL and don't need an alarm. Someday you might need one though.

My alarm has a button to push inside the car that disarms the alarm until rearmed with the remote.

how does the remote start function on the rs2 for the mtx? i have a clifford ag4 which has a specific mtx remotestart. i didnt think this function for mtx was available on the matrix versions. the one drawback of the ag4 is the lack of 2way/lcd. even the new ag5 doesnt have it. but the alarm is stellar.
and yes i've heard of compustar. a few guys on here have them. so far havent heard any complaints. i even considered it when i was shopping for an alarm

What does a trim level have to do with needing an alarm? Im just saying..either install the alarm correctly or dont put one in at all. There is no reason that the thing should be autolocking, even after you unlock it and the alarm going off everytime you go near the thing to work on it..Then, why do costumers get mad when I disconnect an alarm and screw up their presets..next time dont bring a POS alarmed Honda crapper...who in their right mind would wanna steal it anyway...lol.. I swear some ppl install them for the thrill of hearing the darn thing chirp.

My alarm relocks. It's a good idea to fully protect your car. Also you aren't gonna make my presets be lost because I have a back-up battery.

I honestly don't know. I paid the guy cash on the side to hook up my remote start. I know the RS3 comes with everything needed for the Remote start and the RS2 is remote start ready. Meaning you have to purchase the remote start module for the RS2 and the RS3 has the module built in.
