Ohhh!!! Take pre-98 technology and apply it to a post-97 headlight!!! Not to mention they don't fit the Contour. Just because it is glass, doesn't mean it is better. If you don't want your headlights to haze up, keep them out of the sunlight (um, garage)

Exactly. All that is would be a sealed-beam headlamp instead of the reflective optic ones on regular 98+ Contours. This is nothing new. I had H7 bulbs on the last car I had (the Sedona) and they weren't exactly flamethrowers compared to the Contour (but they were brighter).
And one of the guys right here on CEG has them on his CSVT already. Can't remember his s/n offhand, but it's the guy who lives in Latvia.

I mean...if you drop it..opps! Its probably a little heavier and in that photo it looks like a headlight taken out from a very old car back in the early 80s. Doncha think I would rather save for the Morette headlights.

I think they're hot. Too bad they won't fit.
BTW, I'm not sure, but I don't think the refractive lens is inferior the the clear lens design. The main feature of the clear lens headlights is that designers have more freedom with the final shape.
Function before fashion.
