Mobile Dynamics? If soo there the #1 school. I used to work with a guy who went there good installer. I think he was there for 4 months though? The teachers at mobile dynamics are editors and such for ahh hell i think its Car audio and electronics. The cool thing is that you take the mecp basic(bronze) and MECP first class(silver)when your there. Then after that you need to work in the business for a year then you get the First class certification. Not very many places's care if your a certified installer though. Best buy, and a few high end Mom and Pop stores. I was gonna go to Mobile dynamics when he went just to go, I was already a MECP first class installer at the time, but i didn't. They teach you everything from Box theory to Fiberglass, and custom center counsels and such.

I have always wanted to go to a school like that.

Interesting, I have never had a single urge to go to a school like that. I don't think they would ever go into enough depth. It would be fun to hear that fabrication tips, I suppose. And tracking down noise problems.

To honestly answer the question....I simply like music and electronics. If I could find a job working with building speakers and keep my current standard of living, I would do it without question.

As stated by Dave they don't go crazy indepth into teh acctual accustical theory of sound. If you wanna go to a school you can Pay me about a 1/4 of the cost i will teach you everything i know(MECP First class installer/Custom Installer certified) and give ya the MECP basic book go over test's with you and you can watch me do what i do best. Then Ill set you up with the Acctual MECP test and you can Take it and be a MECP certified installer for alot less. The thing is anyone can learn anything if they want do. Doesn't mean there gonna be good at it. But with a MECP cert you can go to 90% of the worlds car audio shops and atleast be considered for the job. Without that cert the place of business is taking your word unless they have seen your work.. So if your ever intrested weekend whenever I would be glad to help.

I want to go just to see what all I could learn about fabrication.

Here is a practice test for the basic install test. I know nothing about Reed Switches
and never messed with celullar or GPS systems, and got killed with a 64% score. I know I can do better Did great on the Mobile Electronics Section though.

What score is a passing grade?

[censored], that test was no joke. I could have done well with it 9 years ago when I just finished 2 years of physics in high school. Lots of words and principals that I have heard of but haven't used in AGES!!!!!
