Hi Ronan:
I've not gotten a chance to send my UIM to EH. I've jumped into doing Solo I competitions this year and trying to end up in 2nd place for the year in my class (it's a small field

), so I'm going to have to wait till next month to pull it. I'll let you know what it does.
I think Derek is likely right about the 17# injectors. The intake/TB/manifold/exhaust, etc., is likely out running the injector/ECU's ability to provide enough fuel properly. I'd forgotten, or hadn't noticed, that you weren't running 19# injectors.
Ronan, you mentioned that you're getting some pinging under part throttle. This could be a result of there being a lean situation from the above combinations. Did you get an A/F reading with the dyno run? Were you getting the pinging before installing the UIM?
I've heard good things about the Unichip but really don't know anything about them. When you say they have "a specific map for each car" do you mean for each make and model or is the chip burnt (tuned) individually to each individual owners actual car?
StreetFlight (now Arizona Dyno Chip for the chip part of things), from what I've gathered from my time viewing these forums is the only tuner that has shown positive results on a regular basis (NA market) for the 2.5L Duratec. Once I've got my UIM done I plan on doing another set of dyno runs w/wide-band O2 sensor readings and sending that to them. They can then use that data to tweek the tuning - not as good as having the car at their shop but they're over 4,000 miles away so it's too far for a weekend run

.
