Hmmm, quality post.  I spilled some oil in my garage a few weeks back, shall i take a pic of it?....

Those bugs commited seppeku over a 1.5 mile stretch of I-70 just west of Dayton, OH, yesterday. After commiting the horrendous act, they were completely decimated as my car came in contact with them as it was moving at 0.03373 yards per millisecond. I must have had 40+ of em hit my windshield over that short period. Perty nasty.
I just thought it was a fun picture. I am quite sorry that you did not enjoy it. Please accept the apologies of both myself and the yellow & blue Power Rangers. They shall keep an eye on me to make sure that I do not commit such absurd actions in the future.

No need for apologies...
As far as bugs on bumpers go, thats the best damn picture of bugs splattered on a bumper i've ever seen!

Naw, I think it was last summer, someone with a Black SVT posted a pic after going through somewhere in the south. Lots and lots of white splotches from June bugs.  My front bumper looked like a carpet when I got home from the last Dragon Meet.  Them bugs is nasty this time o' year.

It's not just the raw volume of them that surprised me, it was the volume in such a short period of time/distance. My windshield was pretty much clear from a brief rain shower a little earlier, then after that one short stretch of road, I gave up after counting 40 splats on my windshield. Didn't hear another single splat afterwards, so I can only assume that everything on the bumper was from that one stretch of road. Let me drive that stretch a couple times and the car will be white! I took the car over to mom's house to clean em up earlier tonight. Just cleaned the bugs, not the entire car, because it looked like a big storm was on the way. Drove back home and there was a county truck fogging for mosquitos in my apartment complex. They fog AFTER I kill em all!  Found it sorta ironic Car is about to turn 100,000 miles so it'll get a nice full bath this weekend!

I ran into a swarm of bee's one time. It's sorta funny, looking back, because when I saw the swarm coming across the highway I knew what it was. There was a bee farmer close by so... well, you do the math. Anyway, I was doing 70 when I saw them and for some reason, I slowed down. But not just that... I ducted too!
The sound of all those bee's hitting my car at about 65 mph is a sound that I will not forget for a long time. Nor will I ever forget the sound I made when I got trapped behind a truck and trailer carring 2 cows, but that's another thread.

Ha! You call that bugs? I went on a 5 hour twisty drive back in Sept. and posted about it. It was love bug season.
