It's now been added to my winter project list. laugh
I figure I'll be a prime candidate for needing its tuning ability after my mods planned. Serious change in airflow characteristics than what it had originaly.

Yeah, pop that 65mm back on there with the AFC and get it to work! smile

I wish there was a PC connection so we could up/download programs to it. So, once one person gets it tuned, we could have a nice base program to start with. Nothing I have seen suggests this feature though. frown

Looks like I won't know until Monday if I got one. confused The shop doing the group buy only had a couple AFC's left in stock and APEXi is already backordered. (The email I got said they don't expect another shipment released this year! eek damn!)

Also their price is about to go up again with this next batch! (If they haven't already? - October was listed as the price increase date)

I had better get one... I already have it on my future mods list... laugh

Chris - about the PC hookup. Yes that would be ideal! However IMO it wouldn't do much good for swapping among cars. Each setup is so finely tuned the amount of variables makes it impossible for one setup to be ideal for another car. Especially mine - since I will be starting with a custom burned chip to begin with.

The info that can be shared is the actual A/F levels found optimal on my car; not what it took to get it there. I can track that via laptop and dyno A/F monitoring.

...and yes... the 65mm shall be tested again... laugh

It's $320 here .

$330 here.

$330 here. (and this place is just cool to browse anyways)

All more than the group buys, but if you want it off your future mods list and onto the current mods list, then..... (that guy does have good prices on Apexi stuff!!)

I've met Ross before...he's a pretty good guy. I remember that he was into Audi Turbo stuff a few years ago when Ripp was just gettin' started and I still lived in NJ.

Demon, for easy tuning without a dyno gpt to www.roadracengineering.com then Eclipse and look at the S-AFC links they show you how to set it up way better than the manual that comes with it.
