i'm on my way home from work and as i turn into the subdivsion i see the local news trucks at the top of the hill. a couple houses down there's a house cordoned off with yellow tape. so i stop to talk to the neighbors across the street and find out the owner had been shot - car (mercedes C230) missing. he hadn't been seen since friday and when he missed work today a coworker came by the house and found the body.
right now the circumstances around his death aren't clear, but the first thing i did when i walked in the house was take inventory of ammo. this is a tragic situation but the first thing that came to my mind was defending my family and home. that's just too much to lose.
i have a home security system and two handguns but feel like i need more. both guns are 9mm. glock - 2nd gen G19 16rounds mag. makarov - russian made 9x18 8rounds mag. i have my ccw and i'm pretty competent at the firing range but haven't been in a couple months, plus i'm concerned about the stopping power of a pistol. i'd like to get something with more grunt. i've been putting it off for a while but now is a better time than ever. you guys have any reccomendations?
