I've been off the board for quite some time since I moved to NYC and don't have my car. I put the roush springs and st200 strut combo in back in Sept of 2002 but have only driven the car about 2000 miles since I moved 2 months later. I was wondering if anyone else who did this combo back when the parts were available could give me info on how this setup has worked over the long haul. I loved the way the car drove after this setup, it felt like a new car again and I think it should help with the resale value of my car because lord knows a stock tour gets soft around 50k miles. Just want an idea of how long I can expect this nice ride to last

I would expect it to be a nice improvement over stock.

The Roush springs give a very minor drop and the ST200 struts have better valving then stock struts.

Sounds like a nice combo for near stock ride characteristics that are just better all around.

I have had mine on for at least 50k and yeah, the ST200's are going soft. Most of the firmness while driving is gone and there is a good bit of movement when braking and acceleration.

The only real problem I had with the ST200's was fade. If you drove really hard, for a short time, they would almost go limp. This was even after having them on for a week or so. But as for normal everyday driving, and I did a lot of that, they held up just like new for around 30-35K. After that, you could tell that something was missing. Noone else could tell, but I did.

Hope that helps.

Here is a picture of mine that I took a few months ago. I guess the suspension set-up had been on there for a little over a year.

mine is a v-6 as well but the back definately sits a bit lower than the front, otherwise I am very happy with them.

I have had the combo on my car for about 30k miles and have no complaints. My struts have not softened any noticible amount. I definitely am happy with the products and the deal that we got.
